Due to the Black Mesa Incident, portals are raging all across the planet, bringing Xen life, causing havoc in nearby towns and cities.
The Combine noticed this and invaded the Earth which started the Seven Hour War, resulting in a Combine victory.




They had come to Earth and turned it to a brutal police state, consuming all of its natural resources, slowly, turning the surrounding
environment into a desolate wasteland, and putting a field that prevents human reproduction; slowly, humanity is facing extinction.
